(Pls note: The blog is written by Ramesh, but written as if Bhaskar Naidu, from his point of view. It is only for fun, for the pleasure of friends and no other purpose behind. Naidu is one of the most lovable characters of our BTech times.)
About Myself:
Hi,
This is Chikkala Bhaskar Naidu, BTech (CSE), PEC, 2005 pass out. Im from French Yanam. I own SRMT company in Yanam.
Im a good positive thinker of our batch and I helped many of my batch mates with money, moral support, and whatever possible. I am a good devotee of Lord Venkateswara. Every day after waking up, I open my eyes only in front of Lord Venkateswara.
I generally talk good about myself but my friends say I boast about myself.
If everyone has a common TV in common room, I have my own in my room. I mean I connected my PC to a TV tuner card.
I’m one of the few guys who had cell phone in the hostel and I keep changing new cell phones (my hobby).
In my class, though I’m close with all hostellers, I’m closer with Krishna Kumar (Keeku).
I don’t know how to ride bike, but I know how to make others ride for me. In that way I have many drivers. Dake, Bulli, Praveen, KST are few to be named. I sponsor them for whatever they wanted.
My friends see me as an embodiment of luck. Whenever someone gets new bike, they love to take me the first ride as a matter of sentiment. And while Ramesh was going to Mumbai to attend his TIFR interview, he did not step out of the hostel until I came infront of him while leaving.
I’m proud to say that I did not write even a line of code for the project nor I did documentation. Wondering how I managed BTech project? I bought code from a company, Hari (KD) did documentation, Kiran (days scholar, dancer) took print outs and bindings and I’m there to present the project.
Beautiful Evening:
One morning, Praneeth (one of the know-it-all’s) came to my room and said
“Naidu Baava, I forgot I left my tooth brush somewhere, did I keep it here?”
“is it Baava, was it blue in color?”
“yes Baava, exactly. I bought it recently from Bhaai Shop”
I said “But it did not look recent, it was like some 4 years old”
“Where is it Naidu?”
“Sorry Baava, I used it today to clean my comb! Today I will buy you a new one. OK?” I was laughing and he left the place without a word searching something else.
That evening, Keeku as usual took my cell to give miss call to his home. They called him and then he brought it back and left beside my computer otherwise TV. I was then busy watching Megastar Chiru’s movie.
Keeku and others watching the movie along with me. I was lying on my bed, Keeku beside me lying and others sitting. After sometime I received a message beep sound from cell.
I said to Veerasaamy (who was then standing and watching the movie)
“Machi, give me that cell!”
Veerasaamy gave me a weird look as if I’m commanding him.
“ayyaa Baavoooi…Keeku did you see how Veerasaamy is looking!”
“Machi, I’m getting scared by your looks! Give me the cell” and he gave me the cell.
Keeping eyes on the movie opened the message.
It’s from Keerthi “Hi Naidu, how are you?” which is a surprise.
Now with more conscious, I saw, yes the message is from Keerthi (name changed), one of the 3 Telugu gals from Andhra and whom almost everyone in the hostel admire.
Seeing me more conscious Keeku asked “what happened Naidu?”
“Nothing Baava, got some message from a friend.”
“which friend? Our college or Yanam friend?”
“You don’t know that friend!”
Then Keeku kept silent and was watching the movie.
I replied “Hi Keerthi, I’m watching movie in my TV in my PC in my room. What are you doing?”
Then I kept the cell beside the computer and lay beside Keeku continue watching movie.
(Veerasaamy is still standing and watching.)
Again message beeps sound.
I looked at Veerasaamy. But Veerasaamy is as if watching movie so seriously though he does not know our Telugu language. I think he guessed I will ask him to pick up the cell.
“Machi…”
He this time, gave it immediately.
Keerthi’s message “Naidu, I am studying OOPs. You have a TV or PC?”
I replied “Ya Keerthi, I got TV tuner cards from Chennai and gave dish connection. Last time I went to Chennai only for this.”
Next time, I kept cell with myself beside me (but not on the side of Keeku).
New Message from Keerthi “You don’t have TV in common room?”
“It is there Keerthi but difficult to watch TV in common room as Tamils like something, Telugus like something and I like something else and If Madan is there, I can’t go…”
Keerthi: “OK Naidu, had dinner?”
I: “Yes, I had it outside. Generally I have it outside. You had?”
I: “U usually have it inside
Keerthi: “Yes I had in hostel. OK Naidu, Good Night!”
I: “Bye Keerthi, Good Night!”
New Life Begins:
Next day, I went to class with Keeku. The whole day I did not see her but at the end of the day out of the department (near the Jack fruit tree) I was waiting with Kiran for Keeku and She was coming out of the department. I smiled at her and she smiled back. Keeku came behind her saw me smiling at her.
“What Naidu? Smiles? What is the matter?” Keeku said
“So, you can talk with gals and I should not? You, Kiran, Gaali and all talk with gals for whole day and I should not smile? Where is the justice in this world??”
“Naidu, don’t get emotional!” Kiran said
“No Baava, see this Keeku…”
“Leave it Naidu….lets go to canteen and have chilli paratha!” Kiran said.
I said “I don’t have money”.
“But you have account there right?” both said.
We went to college canteen and had chilli paratha, noodles, tea and got billed it into my account.
Kiran went to his room; I and Keeku went to my room and switched on the TV. After sometime Keeku said, “Naidu, I will keep my books in my room and come back!”
I was alone in my room lying on bed, watching TV and the cell gave message beep sound.
“Hi Naidu, how was the day?” from Keerthi.
I got up and replied “Good evening Keerthi, it was good, what are you doing?”
Keerthi: “I am studying for project?”
I: “Always studying, teach me too!”
Mean time Keeku came back “Naidu, busy with cell?”
“Messaging to a friend Baava…”
“Who is that?” he snatched cell from my hand and saw messages.
“Naidu, messages from Keerthi??”
I was blushing “Just friendly Baava”
Keeku “Friendly? Our class mates Kiran has cell, Ravikanth has cell, and she is not messaging to anyone but only you?? So are they not friends???”
“Baava, vedhava loggicullu laagake (don’t bring out funny logics)!”
“Naidu, if anything is there, tell her…don’t keep it with you!”
“Keeku, don’t try to make me like Rakesh. You guys are no ordinary. You are the guys behind Rakesh proposing to a gal in first year. Don’t break good friends. OK?”
“OK Naidu, I won’t come in between you and Keerthi who are good friends.”
Mean time again beep sound.
I grabbed the cell from Keeku, saw the message.
Keerthi: “Your have good hairstyle. Good Night!”
I blushed. “Thanks Keerthi. Bye:)”
“Keeku, don’t tell this to anyone. Mainly don’t tell these to Banda Pramod and Gaali Rajesh. Otherwise they will start making fun of me.”
Many days passed, I and Keerthi became good friends with almost daily messages.
Bitter Truth:
One day, all my drivers were busy. Dake was in his ECR. Bulli was in department as his guide was screwing him the project work. Who will drive Sampath’s bike? OK first let me take Sampath’s bike key and so called Sampath’s cell…
“Baava Sampath, ekkadunnavu Baava (where are you Baava)?”
“evaru (who is that)?” a lady voice and I guessed it is Swarna (name changed) (we call ‘Edhurlanka Rani’).
“Swarna, is that you? This is Naidu…is Sampath there?”
“Naidu, this is ladies hostel, and this is Keerthi’s mobile!”
(She telling so serious?)
“Oh, instead of calling Sampath I called Keerthi!...Sorry” (I covered myself)
“Bye Swarna!”
“If I am calling Sampath, it is going to Keerthi?” I questioned myself.
Now I understand something and immediately tried to call Keerthi’s number in my cell and no body picked it up.
I went to Guna, took his cell and saw Sampath’s number matching with Keerthi’s number in mine. I understood I was the source of fun for some guys all these days. Then I went to my room and spoke with Keeku who was alone watching TV…
“Baava, some one has swapped Sampaths number with Keerthis number!”
Keeku “Naidu, You came to know that? and the wonder is you know what is ‘swapping’ too which is unlikely?”
“You know all these things?”
“Yes Baava, we all did it together…That day I took your cell to call my home, we swapped it…but I never expected this to happen so soon!” Keeku laughing.
“The plot is this. Rajesh (The Gaali) smses from Sampath’s cell, I monitor you and report them and we all have fun daily on the terrace!”
“Keeku, you being with me cheated?”
“No Naidu, it is all for fun. While at fun, joined with them and enjoyed it. I think I enjoyed it more than anyone else!” Keeku laughing
“So You and Keerthi are good friends?” Keeku laughing continuous holding his stomach.
'"Gimme my remote!" and I started to change the TV channels rapidly.
The next time I smiled to any of the girls was our treat in “Salt and Pepper!” by our class gals and there Keerthi smiled back at me again…
Good Bye!!!
(Final Note: Though all the incidents are almost real, the dialogues are unreal. It was written just for fun and for the pleasure of friends. Don’t take it to heart if it hurts. Thanks:)
it took me some time but finally i remembered the toothbrush incident.... really hilarious when i look back at it now....
